Directions

From the South

Travel North on M74, then M73 - M80 - M9 towards Stirling.
Leave the M9 at Junction 10, signposted for Callander. Follow the A84 north. Or, traveling from Glasgow, travel on the A82 along Loch Lomond side following signposts for Crianlarich, then Fort William.
Enjoy the majestic landscapes of Rannoch Moor and Glen Coe.
Seven miles before Fort William, just passed the village of Onich, turn left off A82 signposted for the Corran Ferry.

From the North

Take the A82 South to Fort William. Seven miles after Fort William heading South on the A82 turn right following signposts to the Corran Ferry.
OR, take the A830 West out of Fort William to Lochailort, then take the A861 to Salen. At Salen turn right on to the B8007 and proceed as below.

Board the Corran Ferry

The crossing takes ten minutes to Ardgour. (NB the last ferry crossing is at 9:30pm. See Ferry Timetable for more details on crossings*).
Turn left off the ferry onto the A861 through Strontian to Salen.
At Salen, turn left along the B8007 for 11 miles to Greenwood Retreat, Ardslignish. We are 1.5 miles after the Ardnamurchan Distillery on the right hand side of the road, just after a “blind summit” road sign and cattle grid.

*If you happen to miss the last crossing of the Corran Ferry proceed north to Fort William, take the A830 west to Lochailort, then the A861 to Salen. At Salen turn right on to the B8007 and proceed as above.

The approximate travelling time from Ardgour to Ardslignish is one hour. Much of the road on the peninsula is single track so please allow yourself plenty of time to enjoy the views and for any desired stops. There is plenty to enjoy en route to Greenwood Retreat including: cafes, local shops, art galleries, designated walks and the Ardnamurchan Distillery.
